BS Nursing Admissions Open for Government Colleges in Punjab (Session 2025-26)

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, under the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, has officially opened online applications for the BS Nursing Generic (4-Year Degree Program). This is a golden opportunity for students in Punjab to secure admission in government institutions on a merit basis.

Program Details and Seats

There is a massive total of 4,500 seats available across the province.

  • Morning Shift: 3,100 Seats
  • Evening Shift: 1,400 Seats

Participating Colleges

Admissions are open in 45 Nursing Colleges attached to Government Teaching Hospitals and DHQ Hospitals.

  • Major Teaching Hospitals (like Mayo, Sir Ganga Ram, Nishtar Multan, Holy Family Rawalpindi, etc.) typically offer 100 seats each (split between morning and evening).
  • DHQ Hospitals (like Attock, Bhakkar, Gujranwala, Kasur, etc.) typically offer 50 seats each.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following specific requirements to apply:

  1. Qualification: F.Sc (Pre-Medical) with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.
  2. Merit Calculation: Admission will be based purely on F.Sc (Pre-Medical) marks.
  3. Domicile: Punjab domicile is mandatory.
  4. Age Limit: Maximum 35 years on the last date of application.
  5. Gender Restrictions:
  • Females: Can apply to 44 colleges.
  • Males: Can only apply to the College of Nursing, Govt. Teaching Hospital, Shahdara, Lahore (100 Seats available).

Admission Schedule

Please note the following important dates for the admission process:

  • Online Application Starts: 16th December, 2025 (from 9:00 AM)
  • Application Deadline: 6th January, 2026 (by 5:00 PM)
  • Provisional Merit List: 12th January, 2026
  • Final Merit List: 16th January, 2026
  • 1st Selection List: 19th January, 2026
  • 2nd Selection List: 23rd January, 2026
  • 3rd Selection List: 28th January, 2026
  • Classes Begin: 2nd March, 2026

How to Apply Online

The entire application process is digital. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official UHS admission portal: http://portals.uhs.edu.pk
  2. Register by creating an account.
  3. Fill in your personal and academic details.
  4. Select your preferred colleges (Order of Preference).
  5. Upload scanned copies of your Matric result, F.Sc result, Domicile, and CNIC/B-Form.
  6. Download the fee challan and deposit Rs. 500 at any branch of The Bank of Punjab (BOP).
  7. Submit the application online.

Note: Do not send any manual applications or documents by post; they will be rejected.
