The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has officially announced its latest induction for Airman positions. This is a golden opportunity for young Pakistani men to serve the nation. Online registration for the 2026 batch is open from 12th January to 25th January 2026.

Below is the complete guide on eligibility, available trades, and the application process.

Eligibility Criteria by Trade

PAF is hiring for several distinct trades. Please ensure you meet the specific age, height, and educational requirements for the trade you are applying for.

1. Aero Tech

  • Nationality: Pakistani Male
  • Age: 15 ½ to 19 years (on 29 June 2026)
  • Height: 163 cm to 188 cm
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Math, and English with min 65% marks in each.

2. Aero Support

  • Age: 17 to 20 years (on 29 June 2026)
  • Height: 163 cm to 188 cm
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Math, and English with min 65% marks.

3. PF & DI (Physical Fitness & Drill Instructor)

  • Age: 16 ½ to 21 years (on 29 June 2026)
  • Height: 178 cm to 188 cm
  • Vision: 6/6
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Minimum 60% marks in English.

4. Security

  • Age: 17 ½ to 21 years (on 29 June 2026)
  • Height: 175 cm to 188 cm
  • Vision: 6/6
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Minimum 60% marks in English.

5. MTD (Mechanical Transport Driver)

  • Age: 17 ½ to 21 years (Extendable to 23 years for LTV/HTV License holders)
  • Height: 168 cm to 188 cm
  • Vision: 6/6
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Math passed.

6. Fire Fighter

  • Age: 17 ½ to 21 years (Extendable to 23 years for LTV/HTV License holders)
  • Height: 168 cm to 188 cm
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and English. Preference given to LTV/HTV license holders.

7. Medical Assistant

  • Age: 16 ½ to 20 years (on 29 June 2026)
  • Height: 163 cm to 188 cm
  • Education: Matric Science with at least 70% aggregate marks.
  • Minimum 65% marks in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

8. IT Assistant

  • Education: Matric Science with at least 65% aggregate marks.
  • Must have passed Computer Science with at least 65% marks.

Special Relaxations (Rural & Remote Areas)

PAF offers specific marks relaxations for candidates from certain regions:

  • Rural Areas (Approved Lists): Matric Science with 50% marks, but English marks must be 40%.
  • KPK, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan: Matric Science with 50% marks (40% in English required).
  • Balochistan (Quetta District): Matric Science with 50% marks.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will go through the following stages at their respective Selection Centers:

  1. Intelligence Test: E-Testing (Computer-based).
  2. Academic Test: Subjects include English, Physics, and Maths (or Biology for Medical Assistants).
  3. Medical Examination: Initial checkup (height, eyesight, weight, etc.).
  4. Interview: By an Air Commodore or Senior Officer.
  5. Final Selection: Based on merit and final medical clearance.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official Pakistan Air Force website: www.joinpaf.gov.pk.
  2. Click on the "Register Online" button.
  3. Enter your CNIC/B-Form number and verify your eligibility.
  4. Select your desired trade.
  5. Print your exam slip which will contain your test date and time.

Important Note: Bring your original CNIC/Smart Card or B-Form, along with original educational certificates (Detailed Marks Sheets) to the selection center on the day of the test.
